How to post to stream using formula or workflow

    Dear team,

I am reaching out because I would like to post to the stream of the lead entity using a formula script. I have a field called "Update" (a text field) that is required when a user makes changes in any other field. My goal is to post the text that is written in the "Update" field to the stream using either a formula or workflow.

    Thank you for your assistance.

    Best regards,

          Hi,

Make sure your Workflow tartget entity is Lead and also what is your trigger type. For me it is working after I update the record.

Is there any other workflow/flowchart running that keep updating Lead?

I don't think you can change "System posted ..." but you can add attribute to your post

                sapyantuk,

As you can see on the screenshot, the workflow is configured exactly like yours. No looping occurs.

Please try turning off all other workflows for a while and test the functionality of this workflow. It may well be that the looping is due to the execution of other workflows that update the lead.

In this case, I can only offer you the following option, which will be as fast as possible: you can give me a test temporary admin access to the instance in private messages, I will figure out what the problem is, and after solving we will write the same solution in this post on the forum.

You can also write to technical support, but I immediately say that it is highly likely that access will also be needed.

Choose the option that suits you and let me know.

                    Dear Lazovic lazovic ,

I would like to express my gratitude for your valuable help in fixing the issue that I was facing with the workflow. Through your guidance, I was able to identify the root cause of the problem.

It appears that the issue was caused by an extension named 'stream-modified-at', which was developed by Eymen. eymen-elkum I had installed this extension, which may have created the loop. Therefore, I would like to request you to check if this extension is causing any issues from your side as well. eymen-elkum

As soon as I uninstalled the 'stream-modified-at' extension, my issue was resolved. However, I must add that this extension has been very helpful for me, and I am looking forward to the fix if it is the actual cause of the problem.

Thank you once again for your assistance.
