    Options:
    • Use * wildcard.
    • Force 'contains' search in settings.
    • Enable full-text search.

    I have a related question.

I have an organization with the name Ethiopian Bank
I have the 'contains' setting enabled
I have full text search enabled in Organization on field Name.

If I search for Ethiopia (without the n), it doesn't find the organization Ethiopian Bank.

I know it can be solved with Ethiopia*. But this requires the user to be aware of search parameters.

Is there a way to get partial matches from search queries?

There's no such an ability. When Fulltext Search is enabled, the wildcard is not appended to the text search query. You can customize it though.
