{optInLink} - confirmation link empty

I have used the Web-to-Lead function to create a record
for a lead. This person now receives a mail as an opt-in. I have added the variable {optInLink} to the mail template, but when the mail is delivered, the link is empty. What is the reason for this?

Are there any customizations that could affect how Web-to-Lead works?

Could you also attach your instance logs (located in [your_instance_directory]/data/logs directory)?
