Stop linking to opportunity link

hello,

I'm using the parent field for task to browse for projects added in calls, thing is that i'm using it as company name so in task tab, when you click on task name ("parent") it will open the call not the task to see other details.

Any way i can prevent that? Or what's the best way to fix this?

Can you please show on the screenshots how exactly everything works for you now? And what exactly do you want to change so that everything works the way you want?

You might want to enable/disable "Link" under the layout manager for the entity for that particular view.
