Is it possible to make it so the link in the 'URL' field or in 'text' field opens in a new tab?

In my Installation the link from URL field always opens in new tab. In the text-field you cannot insert an URL as link, this is only possible in textbox, where you would need markdown to format it as lnk, or as WYSIWYG field, where you could insert a link as in HTML.
