Portal user: revoking edit rights if not record owner

Scenario: Portal user creates a record but should only be able to edit the record if he is assigned as owner. How to do this ?
If Portal role has OWN as edit right for the record, it does not work. User can still edit the record even if he is not the owner.
EspoCRM 7.1.8 is used.
