  • Tooltips: how to make an asterisk (*) NOT trigger italic, but show as letter?

    Hi all,

I try to update some tooltips by editing custom/Espo/Custom/Resources/i18n/de_DE/lead.json.
I need something like "Sachbearbeiter*in, Abteilungsleiter*in, CEO, ...". But as * is ment to trigger italic, I get "Sachbearbeiterin, Abteilungsleiterin, CEO, ..." instead!
Is there any possibility to mask * to have it as a letter?

    Regards

hi, you will have to escape the special char, I think, like this: Sachberabeiter\*in. The backslash should prevent markdown to see it as a trigger char.

      Hi shalmaxb,
that's what I already tried. But a backslash results in an error:
Error 500: JSON syntax error in 'custom/Espo/Custom/Resources/i18n/de_DE/Lead.json'.

        Hi shalmaxb,

thanks for yout hint. It made me search a bit. Obviously, a backslash has to be escaped by a backslash in the first place. So "Sachbearbeiter\\*in" did the trick!

        Regards
