Is it possible to add a custom entity to a contact list?

Hi everybody, just a quick question.

As stated above,
is it possible to add a coustom entity to a contact list?

Background:
We have created a new custom entity for our employees (called: employees) and would like to add them to a contact list, but the only options to add mail-adresses to a contact list are: contacts, leads, accounts and users.

Is it possible to add the employee entity to this list or is there any other way to add mail-adresses to a contact list that are not included in the entities mentioned above?

As of v7.1 it's possible to use custom entities in mass email. https://github.com/espocrm/espocrm/issues/2203
