public docs + usage of API

Would it be possible to create public documents (maybe add a checkbox in the frontend for this), which are then accessible via the api (without authentication or at least with an application user who is only allowed to do that)? My idea would be to use espo as a central docs store and display public documents on the company's website, where they are rendered as articles.
