Search Contact/Account address with wildcard

Just did a search for an address today and it fail quite miserably.

It seem that it need starting text to search properly. Anyone how we can fix this?

For example with a contact the address is:

100 Streetname

Searching for:
"Streetname" won't work;
"100 streetname" work;

Can't use wildcard either;
"* streetname"

But as long as the start is right it can work;
"100 street"
"100 str"

I have try to enable Full Text search and rebuild but no luck. This is rather annoying as sometime I can only remember the street name but not the street numbers. I have a feeling that the address is some special field and this is not possible.

In the meantime as a alternative solution, I just exported everyone with their name and address and search through excel from there.

Hi!
There is a wildcard symbol "%". So instead of Streetname you can write %eetname for example.

Thank you. That was a quick solve. I wonder how I missed that symbol, just going to blame Friday and weekend.
