Trigger workflow according to date

I wanted to ask if its possible to somehow trigger a worklfow when the month and day of today matches with a certain date attribute.

Yes you can make a scheduled workflow based on report.
First you need to create a Report that will collect all records when specefied date field value = today. After this, you have to create a Scheduled Workflow and link it to the Repor you have created.
