How to change field from editable to ReadOn

Hi,
I try to change the Field user from editable to ReadOnly when the status is changed to Approved. as:




I try to change from formula :


But it's not working. If that any method I can do.

Your formula is missing semicolon at the end.

But I think, you could do it also in field condition, like making it write protect, when status is approved.

I wonder where you got that formula from?

Formula dosenot has such functionality, it is for calculated fields and after save.

to set the read only conditionaly you will need the dynamic logic:
