Possible to export and import role configuration

Hi, as configuring roles and permissions for different user groups can be a tedious work, I would like to know, if there is a way to export the configuration and use it in other instances by importing.
I guess there is no such function implemented by UI, but where is the configuration stored?

Probably the easiest way is to export it right from the DB (see tables `role` and `portal_role` ).
