    Customized Accounts categorization best practices

The generic Industry field provided from Espo contains high level categories that are not industry specific.

Managing two different companies using the CRM for one of them I already created custom fields listing their specific type and properties of the selected type.
Done so also since I can also easilly hide the panel for the other company users.

Wondering if this is a good practice also for the second company, or is more safe (in term of future upgrades, data fragmentation and reporting) to just extend the Industry list, creating eventually a specific sublist based on the selection.
I suppose this is a common problem, so that many does have experiences.

It's OK to abandon the built-in 'industry' field and use the custom one. It should not affect on anything.
If you find EspoCRM good, we would greatly appreciate if you could give the project a star on GitHub. We believe our work truly deserves more recognition. Thanks.
