Date Formatting in Email Template [Bug or Feature]

I'm using the Date Formatting feature available since v5.8.0. specifically the {dateFormat} code.

This code work fine for Print-to-PDF and Template Manager (Administration > Template Manager) but it doesn't work with Email Template.

But isn't Template Manager allow for email to be send out (Meeting & Invitation) so it should work with Email Template too but it doesn't for me. So I'm not sure if this is considered a Bug or a Feature Request we need for Email Template to work.

No. Templating engine is not used for email templates.

In 5.9.0 it will be added as an experimental feature.

Good to hear about 5.9.0, hopefully soon.

Regarding the Template engine, I was referring to: /#Admin/templateManager/name=invitation_Meeting
But I guess this is a PDF System that why it work.
