Thanks - but it does not allow it. Only options entered work. I can type and enter, but it does not remain.

I've just tested it on EspoCRM 5.9.3. and my custom option was saved successfully. Try to reproduce it in the incognito window of your browser. I think it is browser cache issue so you need to clear the browser cache.
