Rebuild Category Path Table

Is there any way to regenerate the "<entity>_category_path" data records for all existing Category Paths?

The reason I want to do this is because some of the "parent" tree items do not show any results when selecting them in the tree view. Upon further inspection of the "<entity>_category_path" database table records, the "ID" of these parent items are nowhere to be seen in the table.
