  • Restrict Assignment of Account to Case unless Criteria is Met.

    Would it be possible to restrict internal users from linking an Account to a Case unless Account Status is equal to a certain value?
    Our Accounts must be fully compliant to company requirements before they can be assigned to a Case. Many users are ignoring the Account status and making the link which is causing audits and fines to be paid by our company. I am unsure how to go about solving this problem.

    Hello,
    there is no such an ability. Your users can use a search filter to make sure that they are selecting a proper account.

      You can check account status in before upgrade script (formula) or with Workflow and then unrelate case from the account right there in the formula. But this will be implicit for a user.
