Error 500 when trying to upload/attach documents (in email template, in documents)

As the subject indicates, I am now unable to attach documents to email template (no error message visible, just nothing happening) or in documents (error 500 briefly appearing on top of webpage).

In fact, also all other documents that appear to be there (and where available before) are not there: I mean nothing is shown / loaded when clicking on them).

Any hint on what could be the problem?

Please at first check both the EspoCRM and webserver error logs to gather more info about the issue.

We found out it was a server available space issue.
