How to increase frequency of check email jobs

Hi, can anyone advice:

I notice that it takes quite a while for emails to arrive in the inbox using IMAP. The Job
"Check Personal Email Accounts" is scheduled to run every minute:
Scheduling
*/1 * * * *

BUT it seems to run only every 15-20 minutes. I have enabled "run jobs parallel", but it doesn't seem to make a big difference. I am now thinking to set up multiple "Check Personal Email Accounts" job, but since I dont have much experience, I worry that I will create more issues.
