Change contacts export fields

How can the fields of the contacts export be changed? There is a field we use and it's missing in that list and can't find it anywhere in the layout manager.

Need more information. What Entity, it is a custom field or out of the box field, what did you try to export???

Export of Contacts, custom field. But the question is also valid for any field - if I want to export Name, Phone, Email, Company - how can I preset that, not to change it every time I want to do an export.

The export function looks at what fields are set in the list view. This logic is global. So there is no file which defines a fields collection for a separate entity.
