How to move values of an entity to item list of another entity?

I want to move values of opportunity(Not opportunity item) to quote(That is I need to create a related record on quote based on opportunity values).
Here i want to move some values of opportunity to quote item list(Not to quote fields). Please help me to write a work flow for this. Thanks in advance.
