Entity in n:1 relationship not Selectable

I have accounts with several sites and have a n:1 relationship of them with the contacts.I have no problem choosing contacts to add to a site, but i am not able to select a site when i edit or create a contact. The site is shown but there is nothing to click on.
Is there something i must do to make the site selectable?
