Make every search from search box a wildcard search

At the moment, if I want to search for something, I enclose the term in asterisk, as wildcards.

So, to search for "Neil", I'd search "*Neil*".

Is it possible to set it so that every search term is automatically wrapped in wildcards, rather than needing to type them each time?

Ignore me!

Under "Administration", the option "Use 'contains' operator when filtering varchar fields" appears to do the trick. (It refers to a wildcard of "%", but, nevertheless, it works.)
