Linking Parents

Hopefully somebody can help....I am linking opportunities to parents and the parent maybe an account or it maybe a Lead. If I have a defined link in opportunity to a parent (see below) then it works fine -


and I can see it on the account page (highlighted in red below)


BUT this means that I have to have another box on the opportunities page to link it to a lead which I don't want to do. Instead when I link to a multiple choice parent where the selection is Account or Lead, it will not automatically appear in the Opportunity list in the Account

Therefore I have to manually add it to the Opportunity by selecting the three dots ... then select and manually linking it.

Why does it not automatically link if I want to use the multiple parent route?

Hello,
I recommend you to use a standard Account field. Account entity has its own specific logic in relation to the rest entities. In this case, it is harder to make parent field and it demands a deep understanding of Espo and coding.
