how do I extract the leads to which I sent a mass mail whose result has "failed"

I have no choice? Is it really impossible to extract the list of leads that failed to send mass emails?

You can create target list from Campaign Log with targets with Sent status.

Then by utilizing report you can create List Report of leads that belongs to one target list and doesn't belong to another target list (created one).

Then you can 3rd create target list and sync it with that list report.
