Grid report with multiple columns per month

How can I create a grid report with multiple columns and different filters? For example, I want for each month two columns - the total number of new users and the number of paid users.

Grid reports use Group By.If you can with one criteria explain, which one user is new and which one is paid, yes - it's possible. If you can't - it's not possible.

Not exactly what I expected (I would prefer multiple columns per months, not one column of multiple colors), but generally it worked, thank you!
