Opportunity Editing

Hi,
I have added a status in field(drop down) in opportunity with following values('Submitted','Under Process','Rejected','Activated','').
Once Status is changed to Activated, then opportunity editing should not be possible and Editing access to be given only to a specific user. how to do this?
