Hello, I was wondering if someone has been able to link an opportunity to multiple accounts? Let me provide a bit of detail as to what I'm looking at doing.
We have two types of accounts - Customers & Partners. The "Type" field is already available to select in Accounts, therefore, we've categorized certain accounts as a customer, and certain accounts as partners. Let's say ABC is Customer, and XYZ is a partner. If we create an opportunity under the account ABC, we'd like to be able to tag that this particular opportunity was referred to us by the customer XYC (and in our system, they're selected as the partner). This way, we're able to identify opportunities that were referred to us by partners so we can pull reports on the amount of business they've referred to us over the year and be able to create certain programs around this.
Looking for some help in regards to what type of entity needs to be created in order to make the above possible. Thank you soooo much as I've tried multiple ways but nothing seemed to have worked. I'm sure the solution is simple and I may have just overlooked it.
