Calculated Fields

Is there a way to have fields that have a calculation ability. Like in my instance I created one example is a starting mileage and ending mileage. Is there a way to use this so all you have to do is enter a starting mileage and ending mileage for that day and have it calculate the total. As it is now, I have to make a field for starting mileage, ending mileage and then use a total mileage field and enter that number using a calculator. Thanks!
