    Email To Task Workflow

    Hi,

We use the "Email to Case" function and it works PERFECT.

We need to do the same process for "Email To Task". We created a simple workflow (Email Subject = Task Title, Email Body = Task Description) and it works. However, we are having trouble when using attachments from the email because are not shown at the task.

We tried to "match" the email attachment to the task atachment but it doesn't show any file uploaded.

Is there any other way we can relate the email or upload the attachment to the related task?

    Thanks a lot.

    Best regards.

      Hi tanya ,

Thanks for your help. We see the screenshot you attached. We don't see the "Link with Target Entity through relationships" field from our side (I suppose it's our EspoCRM version).

Is this field completely neccesary for this workflow?

      Thanks again.

          Hi tanya ,

We tried the workflow you showed and everything works great except for the attachment field. No attachment is uploaded to this field at the task record.

Can you please do a real test with your workflow and share the results?

          Thanks.

I did it, but attachments from emails were moved to Task (were removed from Email). Maybe it will be implemented in short time
But for now the easiest way is develop afterSave hook https://www.espocrm.com/documentatio...lopment/hooks/
            application/Espo/Services/Email.php getCopiedAttachments

It will be fixed so that attachments will be copied.
