  • What should I expectate about group mail handling.

    Hello , first time here.

Up to now, really impressed with espocrm.

I have a doubt, Already have a populated IMAP account with inbox, sent, trash, spam, and several customized folders.

Able to see inbox, but, none of the mentioned folders.

Really don't understand the way monotored folders work, I want to monitorize all INBOX content, assuming a recursive content.

Already tried to monitorize just INBOX, and every folder, comma separated, no luck up to now.

The imap account already have around 5000 emails, sent and sorted out in diverse folders, we want to have it has a history of transactions done and be done.

    Hi,

EspoCRM emails feature was not designed to work exactly like a conventional email client. All fetched emails will be put into your Inbox folder. If you would like to replicate folders from IMAP in EspoCRM, you can achieve it.

    1. Create needed email folders in EspoCRM (Emails list view > dropdown menu in the top-right corner > Folders).
    2. Create multiple personal email accounts that monitore their specific imap folder and put emails into specific espocrm's folder (use Put in Folder field of personal email account record).

Note, that max number of email accounts regular users can create is controlled by parameter at Administration > Inbound Emails > Max count of personal email accounts per user).

      Hello again,

Thanks for your help, I think that finally understood the nature of grup email accounts and its reach.

So, assuming I have a half dozen users, I just want to use group email account to IMAP/SMTP.

I don't want to allow them to move emails to personal folders.

Is it possible to disable following default folders?

Why? Because using group email accounts, emails received just appears on All folder. I believe Inbox, Important, Sent, Drafts & Trash are related to user's mail account default folders.

There is no an ability to disable those folders.

        I'd recommend the following:

        1. Create group account with a specified team, so that all emails will appear in Inbox of users of that team.
        2. Configure role for that team so that users will be able to see only emails of their team. Make sure that Delete action is forbidden to not to lose any email by a user's mistake,
