In older versions of ESPO if you select "clear local cache" it does it well and then keeps you on the same page you were on. With the newest version if you select "clear local cache" it then asks you to confirm that you wish to and then you are asked to return to the application only to be redirected to the dash. That is a whole lot of extra steps that are created. How do I remedy this?

Clearing Local Cache is not a thing that is supposed to be run often. I almost never use it. It's needed only in cases when some rare errors occurred. I would consider to remove it at all. Use Clear Cache from Administration panel instead.
