custom layout, rows and columns

Hi,
I was wondering if it is possible to have a layout with 1 "row" containing 2 "columns", where the left column would contain 2 rows underneath one another and the right one large row.
Example pic attached: the top shows how it is, the bottom how I want it to be.
Is this possible at all?
