email to opportunity

is there a way to convert an email (from a contact) to a new opportunity without re-entering data? we receive several files (pdfs/autocad drawings) with each opportunity and to download then upload to an opportunity is very cumbersome.

Do you want to parse pdf files?

You can create a hook on email creating, or workflow. Maybe with mixing of new feature Formula. But not sure about parsing of files content...
Also you can search in code, how does cases are created, while emails fetching.

not parse the files. create an new opportunity with email contact/account/body and attachements
