Importing Contacts From CSV very slow

Hi,
I'm importing contacts from csv on espocrm 4.2.4.

Importing 2600 contacts take about two hours, is it normal?
Is it due to duplicate check?
how can I solve it?

As I hear from the guys this is deliberate to circumvent the php timeout restrictions. But a faster solution is in the works and should arrive with 4.3

Ok, there is a workaround for this while we're waitng for 4.3?

No idea about the new version but I soon I assume since there is activity on Github. The only workaround would be to import directly into the database which is very very fast but you really need to know what you are doing

Is there a way to disable duplicate check while importing from csv?
