    Email alias configuration - Can it be configured?

    Hello community,

    I need help configuring an email alias in EspoCRM. I want to be able to send emails from an alternative address without having to create a completely new email account.

    My situation:
    • I have a main email account already configured and working
    • I need to send emails from an alias (alternative address)
    • The SMTP server already allows the use of this alias

    Specific example: My main account configured in EspoCRM is mail@example.com, but I need emails to be sent from mail@example.es (which is an alias configured in Gmail).

    What I have tried: I have gone to Administration > Email Accounts and reviewed the available fields, but I'm not sure what is the correct way to configure the alias.

    My questions:
    1. Is there any additional configuration I need to do in Gmail?
    2. Is it necessary to verify the alias in some specific way in EspoCRM?

    EspoCRM Version: 8.4.1 Mail server: Gmail

    Hi,

    You can create a separate Email Account for your alias in Espo. With the same SMTP settings.

    Note that you will also need to add this email address to the user, if you want this alias be personal for the user.
