    problem with relationship between contact and account

    Hi there...

    I *had* (once) a working relationship between contacts and accounts (n:1), however, for quite a while something is wrong as it doesn't unrelate the contact from one account when choosing a different one.

    e.g.: Contact "Max" is currently related to account "XXX". When choosing account "ZZZ" in contact "Max" and save the changes, the contact ends up to be related to both accounts >> XXX and ZZZ

    However, when I would empty the account-field in contact "Max" and save the record, the contact is getting unrelated from "XXX" and then I can relate it to "ZZZ" only...

    How can I fix this ?

    Greetings, i-Arbeitsschutz,

    I cannot see an issue here. Seems like the logic simply has changed since you sad you had a working relationship beetween corresponding entities.
    Account and Contact have Many-to-Many relationship by default; that means they could display a list of opposite entities, and I assume this logic can't be edited.

    It's possible to make a workaround for this request so when you choose another Account, the previous Account will unlink automatically.
    Or just use manual deleting method as intended:

      If you have changed or added custom relationships, I kindly ask you to provide me with detailed information about how it works and when it starts to work incorrectly.
