    Email Template insert vs overwrite

    Hi all,

Anyone know how the Email Template work? Sometime it only insert into the email, allowing me to keep everything intact. At other time it forced to overwrite the whole message and popup with a confirmation.

"The email body will be lost. Are you sure you want to insert the template?"

    Hi,

When you reply on an email, applying a template preserves the replied part. You might experience this behavior.
If you find EspoCRM good, we would greatly appreciate if you could give the project a star on GitHub. We believe our work truly deserves more recognition. Thanks.

Thank you. I think I figured it out now, not sure if considered bug or hidden feature?

So if you add a Template before typing any reply in the email it will get insert. But once you type something, then insert it will Overwrite everything instead.

Here is a test, from a 'spam advert email', as you can see I typed "Test", then I insert it afterward it will (offer to) overwrite the email and you must agree for it to insert:

But if I were to leave it blank, don't type anything yet, and try to insert Template, it will Insert the template keeping all existing information intact.

It's a feature. The one that I mentioned in my previous post.
