Administrator password recovery not working

According to the documentation (link posted below), it should be possible to add Administrator password recovery to the login dialog - however the 'passwordRecoveryForAdminDisabled' setting does not exist in data/config.php, and even if I add it, it has no effect.

Is this a known issue (perhaps the documentation is out of date?), and how do I otherwise recover or reset the administrator password?

have you make a clearCache and rebuild ? refresh browser cache ?

I cleared browser cache, but as a complete noob, I had not heard of 'clearCache and rebuild' as a thing you could make before now.

In the end I found your link and resorted to console (took a bit of doing to set up SSH access to host via Putty & figure out why I had insufficient permissions to then execute console command - this not my natural environment!), but got there in the end.

Would be much better if a 'reset password' link was simply available on the login dialog though.
