    Some doubts before buying Cloud

Good morning, I'm currently advising an insurance agency about CRM adoption and they are willing to purchase the cloud version. However, I'd like to know about the following things in order to take a proper informed decision:

    - Is there a way to connect to the underlying DB tables in the Cloud version? Client wants to keep using their dashboarding software thus requiring some kind of connection.
    - Is there a way to download the backup from the Cloud version? What does this backup contain?
    - Are upgrades automatically applied in the cloud?
    - How are users and resources counted when setting up a portal for external clients?
    - Is it possible to set sales goals for products/teams/users? Is it possible to set recurrent billing for customers that pay in installments?
    - What are the available hours for Cloud support? Is there a SLA regarding answer time?

    Hi prospectivenbuyer,

It is not possible to connect to the cloud solution database via third-party services; at least this restriction is set for data security. However, you can request a database dump at any time, and it will be sent to you within a few days.

Continuing with the backup: upon request, instance files and the database itself are sent to you. With this data, you can deploy the instance again on your own server or on another cloud solution at any time.

If you want to use the portal, you should know that the number of portal users is calculated according to the scheme: 1 regular user (or admin) - 10 portal users. That is, if you purchase a cloud solution for 10 users, you get 100 portal users at the same time.

Regarding the issue of payments and splitting payments, I recommend that you contact technical support: https://www.espocrm.com/support.

Technical support usually works from 7 am to 4 pm UTC. The time it takes to process a request or question depends on its very nature. In case the analysis or solution takes a long time, you will be warned.
