Using Variant for Case Sizes

I am trying to test out using the template feature with a variant for case size. I am able to set up the Variant and choose the product that gets that variant when building the template. However, when I try to add any of the template versions of the product to a sales order or delivery order it brings up the side panel to select the variant. The issue is there is no way to proceed after that. No button to actually select? Screen shot to try and show what I am describing. Any help is very much appreciated. Not sure what steps I am missing?

I ran across the same issue today. The problem was that I had all Variants with the status set to Unavailable. In the Product entity type settings, the "Status" field was set to be synced between a product template and its variants. Hence, I edited the template product: changed the status to Unavailable and then, changed back to Available. It synced statuses of all variants with the template.

Hello Yuri.. Thank you so much. I think this is all making a lot moe sense to me. All new still but getting there one step at a time. Appreciate your input here. I think I got what I need to get these to work. Now to test loading inventory to them and see how it works!

EDIT: I realized how to get this to work.. Going to post for any other NUBE out there! LOL..

You go and build the Variants first. Then you build the product as a template.. Then you have to go to the Variant tab and hit the generate button to get it to make the clickable links when adding a Variant Template.. See screen shots for more details. Also please let me know if this is correct.

Yes. It's stated in the docs. https://docs.espocrm.com/user-guide/...plate-products

Variants should be generated after setting up the template.
