Apologies if this has been asked before, I have struggled to find it if so. I need to update fields in another entity upon saving a task.
To explain my structure, we have a stock control entity with serial number,status(in stock/installed/decommissioned) make & model etc. There is then also a relationship to our client entity for the stock item. We also have the stock control with a relationship to tasks. Our workflow entails when the agent updates his task he is able to link the stock item to the task.
Upon saving the task, I need to be able to change the status field on the stock item to "installed" and then also link that stock item to the client from the task.
Is this possible via "Before Save Custom script" on tasks or would it be best for us to rather purchase the workflow add on?
