varchar field containing numeric values exported as number in excel

Hi,

I am hitting a problem with exporting data to CSV format. When i export a varchar field containing a value "010.000" to csv format the resulting value is "10" instead of "010.000". Looks like the export is generating a number format instead of text format. Appreciate advise/help on how to get the correct format.

Hi,

You may open the exported CSV file in a text editor. The value should be OK there. When you open that CSV in a spreadsheet app, it may assign an automatic type to a cell. This problem has nothing to do with Espo.

yuri thank you for the clarification. I confirmed that its Microsoft's stubbornness who do not want to rectify the mistakes even after so many user complains. I imported the file and it works fine.
