Knowledge Base Team Assignment

I'm trying to understand how assigning a team to knowledge base categories and articles works. My expectation is that if you assign a team to a category, all child categories and all articles within those child categories should inherit the team. However, this doesn't seem to be the case. In order to make an article visible to a team member, I have to manually assign the team to the specific category and the specific article. Is it supposed to work this way? If so, would you consider adding support for inheritance? Perhaps you could add a checkbox, "Cascade to all sub-categories and articles" next to the team dropdown?

you can do that by mass update, by formula or by default value.
