notReadCount and grouped xhr calls take between 500 and 1000 ms

Hi

Can anyone tell me why noReadCount and grouped are called so often but more important, why it takes between 500 and 1000 ms for a request to complete. That is really a bad influence on the load of the server (which is a high performance vps server with nvm-e and dedicated cpu's)

Thanks if any one can explain and/or give me a solution to avoid a high load per session.

How many records are in "notification" table?

Do you have Cleanup scheduled job running? Administration > Scheduled Jobs > Cleanup.
