  • Options Reference without effect

    Hello everyone,

I have just noticed that the Reference option in the entities no longer works.

I have created a separate entity that should only be there for standard fields.
If I enter Reference in this entity under Options and delete all options, nothing appears in the selection.

Let's take the salutation as an example.

The plan is to use this for status etc., which should all be the same.

No one can help you if you dont say anything about your environment.... for example, version, PHP, etc.

And did you do a recent update or one day out of the blue it stop working?

      Sorry completely forgotten

      Espo 8.2.1
      PHP 8.1.27

I had tested it earlier when it was still version 7, but it wasn't that important to me then.
Now I wanted to start to standardize everything that should be standardized with the references. And now there is nothing.

It's not that urgent now, but maybe someone else uses it or is dependent on it. Or is it just me with the problem?

        Hi,

W/o explicit steps to reproduce, please, create topics not in the bug reports section.

        Example of steps to reproduce:

        1. Entity Manager > Lead > Fields > Salutation.
        2. Select some Options Reference, e.g Account > Industry. Save.
        3. Check Lead Edit View, the Name field. The reference is not applied.

I could not reproduce for an enum field. May be it does not work for the Salutation as it's a part of the separate Person Name field.

I will disable the parameter for the Salutation fields.

Sorry for the incomprehensibility of my reproduction.
That's right, it doesn't work with the salutation.
I should have tried another field before creating this post.
