website verification problem

I am not able to import accounts that have german special characters in the URL like http://www.königsbergerhof.at/. Yes, there is a different URL for that website, but my employees will just type in what my customer gives them. So it should be possible to also verify websites with special characters.

1. Import your CSV.
2. Export failed rows (from the menu in the Errors panel).
3. Import exported CSV but without including the URL column.
4. Enter URLs manually for all imported records (from the 3rd step).

I believe there should not be many of such URLs.

www.königsbergerhof.at is invalid URL, but browsers implicitly replace it with www.k%C3%B6nigsbergerhof.at. We don't have encoding functionality on import. But we do have it on the UI. Meaning you can save such URL via the edit form.

OK, seems there is no other way. That is a pitty cause we also update existing records via import (like last years sales of our customers) and the import also checks the data that is already stored in the CRM even if i say skip for that field. As you wrote, we do not have many URL like that, but in my case i have to change the existing record then import and change the record back. Also auto-import, which i wanted to realize, is not really possible for me then....
Suggetion: maybe you could implement that if there is skip on a field when you import that the existing record of that field does not get validated? or that you can choose if it should get validated or not if you skip.

The import will sanitize URLs in v8.2.
