Opt-out link vs. entirely

Dear all,
Just a quick clarification about the "opt-out entirely" option when creating a mass email. It says:

"Email addresses of recipients that unsubscribed will be marked as opted out and they will not receive any mass emails anymore."

So what I understand is that it is possible to leave this unchecked. People who will opt-out of this specific email/mass email/campaign will be marked as opted out ONLY for that campaign? For that target list also?
But not for any future email sent from the CRM?

Hi,
this not respond to your question but in Europe, if client "unsubscribe", you must "unsubscribe" for all. It's a law from GDPR/RGPD in europe.

If unchecked, it will unsubscribe from all target lists related to the campaign. It won't unlink the contact from the target lists, but mark the relationships as opted-out.
