Left sidebar navigation to work on desktop the way it works on mobile

I'm finding the way the ... on the left sidebar navigation then showing a fly-out on the top-right less than idea for users and my own speed around the app.

Could you consider making it to it expands the list downwards in the same column instead please? Exactly the way it works on mobile, which is very nice and easy.
